Annotatsiya

This article provides a scientific analysis of the legal, political, and social foundations of state–religion relations in the Republic of Uzbekistan. The study examines the stages in the formation of relations between the state and religion, the principles of freedom of conscience, policies of religious tolerance, and mechanisms of interfaith cooperation. In addition, educational and legal approaches to combating religious extremism and radicalism, international experience, and the distinctive features of the Uzbek model are analyzed. The results of the study demonstrate that state–religion relations in the country are regulated on the basis of the principle of secularism and contribute to ensuring religious tolerance and civil harmony.
