The article analyzes the conceptual framework of the state water cadastre. The author categorizes the theoretical concepts within the legislation into those directly related to the content of the water cadastre and those that are ancillary, establishing their correlation. It is also substantiated that the application of concepts in the field of the water cadastre based on a unified system is a crucial factor in the rational use of water resources, ensuring environmental safety, and increasing the efficiency of public administration. Furthermore, the article develops several theoretical proposals for improving the state water cadastre based on national legislation and international experience.
