This article analyzes the criminological characteristics and current trends of crimes related to the illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, and potent agents in the Republic of Uzbekistan. Based on a comparative study of statistical data from 2025 and advanced international practices, the article identifies legal loopholes in the current Criminal Code. Specifically, it provides a scientific rationale for introducing the concept of "analogues of psychotropic substances" into legislation, and for differentiating and strengthening accountability for involving minors in the consumption of potent agents, as well as for the commission of these crimes by recidivists.
