This article examines the trends and prospects of the digitalization of labor relations. Currently, there is an active integration of digital technologies into the labor sphere. Thus, the digitalization of labor relations is becoming not only a means of providing technological support for the labor sphere but also a foundation for the transformation of these relations. The active use of digital technologies in the labor market of the Republic of Kazakhstan, particularly in concluding electronic employment contracts, should be noted. According to the labor legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, an employment contract is a document confirming the assumption of rights and obligations by an employee on the one hand, and an employer on the other. When considering an employment contract for remote work, it is necessary to note the specific nature of the employee's duties, namely the performance of work outside the employer's premises. Previously, an employee's work duties were performed directly on the employer's territory. Recently, there has been an increase in the use of remote work as a form of performing these duties. Due to the development of information and communication technologies and the widespread use of the Internet, the prospect of further growth in remote work has significant potential. It should be noted that remote work is insufficiently regulated at the legislative level, which raises many questions for participants in labor law relations. In our opinion, the provisions of labor legislation concerning remote work should separately address the regulation of remote work contracts with foreign citizens located within the Republic of Kazakhstan and with those located outside its borders. Currently, all parties involved in remote labor relations are interested in a clearer regulation of the procedure for concluding a remote work contract, as this type of contract requires compliance with all existing legal, tax, and immigration requirements.
