This article analyzes the legal status of the competent state bodies in the process of privatization of state property in the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as their institutional role in ensuring competition. The relevance of the study is обусловлено by the need to reduce state participation in the economy, transfer state assets to the private sector, and prevent the emergence of new private monopolies as a result of privatization. The study employs legal-normative, systemic, comparative legal, institutional-functional, and logical methods of analysis. The research analyzes the national legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the “Uzbekistan – 2030” Strategy, as well as sources related to the experience of the OECD, the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, the European Union, Germany, and Poland.
