Annotatsiya

This article examines, on the basis of a normative legal analysis, the issue of applying the criminal legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan to persons who have committed crimes outside the territory of the state. The study analyzes the extent to which Articles 11 and 12 of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan reflect international jurisdictional principles, including territoriality, active and passive nationality, the protective principle, and universal jurisdiction. It also addresses jurisdictional gaps concerning persons with dual citizenship and stateless individuals, as well as issues in the field of cybercrime, alongside the practical application of the principle aut dedere aut judicare. The article concludes with scientifically grounded recommendations for aligning national legislation with international standards.
