This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the role and significance of women in the spiritual and cultural life of the Surkhandarya region from 1991 to 2025. The study highlights, from a scholarly perspective, the state policy implemented during the period of independence, women’s participation in education, culture, and public life, as well as regional characteristics. Institutional mechanisms aimed at increasing women’s activity in the context of modern reforms are also analyzed. As a result, the role of women in the development of society and the factors contributing to the increase in their social activity were identified.
