Annotatsiya

The article examines current legal problems in prosecutorial oversight over the enforcement of legislation in e-commerce and marketplace activities. Based on legislation and the latest publicly available official data, it argues that violations in digital trade are often repetitive, affect an indefinite group of consumers, and therefore acquire public-law significance. The study shows that prosecutorial oversight in this area should focus not on every consumer dispute, but on systematic breaches of mandatory legal requirements. Concrete proposals are developed regarding the duties of marketplace operators, the preservation of digital evidence, and minimum standards for internal complaint-handling procedures.
