This article examines the linguistic foundations and formation mechanisms of terminology in the field of artificial intelligence (AI). It analyzes the etymology, semantic features, and functional characteristics of AI-related terms, with particular attention to the dominant role of English as the primary source language. The study highlights the phonetic-morphological adaptation, calquing, semantic expansion, and borrowing processes involved in the development of Uzbek equivalents of AI terms. Comparative observations on the usage, structure, and evolution of AI terminology in English, Russian, and Uzbek are also provided.
