This article analyzes the significance of para-swimming in the basic sports training of school-aged children with disabilities, based on monitoring data from 2025-2026 obtained at the Chirchik Center for Training in Olympic and Paralympic Sports. The study's key indicators were vital lung capacity (VLC), pre-start anxiety level, and reaction time. The comparative analysis revealed that among para-swimmers, results within the normal range for VLC increased from 0% to 83%, high pre-start anxiety decreased from 50% to 0%, and a low level of reaction time was reduced from 100% to 50%. The findings indicate that para-swimming is an effective tool for improving the functional state, enhancing psycho-emotional stability, and creating a favorable adaptive environment for the basic sports training of children with disabilities.
