This article examines Uzbekistan's approach to sustainable development and environmental security within the context of the contemporary ecological challenges of the 21st century. It highlights the long-term impacts of issues such as climate change, water scarcity, desertification processes, and atmospheric pollution on human health, agriculture, and socio-economic stability. The article specifically analyzes the historical causes of the Aral Sea crisis, which resulted from the mismanagement of the Amu Darya and Syr Darya rivers. It also examines the legal and regulatory reforms undertaken by the state, environmental initiatives within the "Uzbekistan - 2030" Strategy, and practical measures for the effective management of water resources, expansion of green spaces, ecological modernization of industry, and development of air monitoring systems. The article emphasizes the importance of civil society, scientific research, and international cooperation in ensuring environmental security. The research findings indicate that environmental security is not merely a natural process but a systemic issue intrinsically linked to national security, public health, and the sustainability of future generations.
