In the context of contemporary globalization, digitalization, and rapid transformations of social relations, the methods of committing crimes, their dynamics, and their external manifestations are becoming increasingly complex, which underscores the growing importance of an in-depth analysis of the corpus delicti for criminal law and law enforcement practice. Since the corpus delicti serves as the legal basis for criminal liability, it is essential to comprehensively examine its elements and ensure the correct qualification of the committed act. This article analyzes the significance of the objective side of a crime in the process of criminal qualification. As a key element of the corpus delicti, the objective side encompasses the criminal act (action or omission), socially dangerous consequences, a causal link, as well as the place, time, method, and means of committing the crime. The article substantiates that the proper identification and assessment of these elements play a crucial role in distinguishing crimes from other offenses and in providing an accurate legal evaluation. In addition, certain challenges encountered in law enforcement practice and their underlying causes are examined from a scientific perspective.
