The article presents an original body-oriented psychophysiological method called the “mechanical switching of the range of possibilities of the human self,” developed on the basis of 13 years of practical experience working with more than 1,000 students. The method is aimed at activating a secondary range of personal capabilities, including new patterns of thinking, interests, talents, and ambitions, and is implemented through purposeful bodily movements and focused attention. The main hypothesis suggests that a person possesses two ranges of capabilities: a known range and a hidden range, access to which can be achieved through specific body-based psychophysiological stimulation. The article describes the theoretical foundations of the method, its practical significance, and its expected effects, and also discusses prospects for its application in psychology, philosophy, sports, creativity, education, musical and artistic activities, science, medicine, rehabilitation, and personal development. Since the study is author-based and lacks a control group, the results are based on accumulated observations and subjective changes recorded by participants.
