This article analyzes the distinctive approach adopted by the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the legal regulation of digital platforms and competition among them. The analysis primarily focuses on a comparative examination of ex ante and ex post regulatory approaches as alternative methods, taking into account the specific characteristics of digital platforms. The ex ante model is considered a key legal instrument for regulating digital platform markets in the current context and is presented as a comprehensive and appropriate option for national legislation that is shaping its regulatory framework based on the European legal system. Furthermore, the article examines the most pressing issues in this field and puts forward relevant proposals and recommendations.
