This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the improvement of civil law mechanisms for the protection of intellectual property rights. Using a comparative legal approach, the study examines the TRIPS Agreement and EU Directive 2004/48/EC. It also assesses the effectiveness of the legislative framework of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the field of intellectual property, particularly the provisions of the Civil Code and relevant special laws. Based on the findings, a number of proposals are developed to enhance methods of damage recovery, statutory (pre-established) compensation, and judicial enforcement.
