The article examines current issues related to optimizing criminal proceedings in the Republic of Uzbekistan as a key direction for enhancing the effectiveness of criminal justice. It analyzes modern trends in the reform of criminal procedure legislation, challenges encountered in law enforcement practice, and prospects for improving procedural mechanisms. Special attention is given to balancing the efficiency of court proceedings with adherence to procedural guarantees of the rights of participants in criminal proceedings.
