The article presents an analysis of the process of developing speech skills in future teachers of the Russian language in the educational environment of Uzbekistan. The study considers the methods and approaches used in teaching students, as well as the characteristics of educational programs and materials. Particular attention is paid to the influence of cultural and linguistic peculiarities of the Uzbek environment on the learning process. The authors identify the principal challenges confronting Russian language teachers and propose recommendations for optimizing the educational process to enhance the efficacy of the formation of speech competencies in future teachers. This study contributes to the comprehension of the particularities of Russian language teaching in the multilingual and multicultural environment of Uzbekistan.
