This article examines the relevance of preserving national musical heritage and highlights the socio-educational significance of masterpieces of national musical art in fostering a well-rounded younger generation. National music is interpreted as an important social and cultural phenomenon that plays a significant role in the moral and spiritual development of individuals. The study emphasizes the necessity of safeguarding classical musical heritage—specifically the maqom tradition, its performance schools, styles, and the “ustoz–shogird” (master–apprentice) system—and transmitting it authentically to future generations. A value-based approach to national musical culture is shown to be essential for enhancing the moral, cultural, and educational development of youth. The research employs traditional methodological approaches grounded in the oral professional music tradition, and the effectiveness of these methods in training young musicians is substantiated through practical observation.
