To identify and classify the key transformation trends in medical education models under the influence of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, and to critically analyze the prospects and challenges of this transition, with a specific focus on the experience and reform strategy in Uzbekistan. A critical review of global literature (2015–2025) from PubMed, Scopus, and RSCI databases was conducted, along with a content analysis of international strategic documents (including the WHO Global Strategy on Digital Health 2020–2025) and national regulatory acts (specifically, Uzbekistan Presidential Decree No. PP-358 dated 14.10.2024). Four key areas of AI integration in medical education were systematized: 1) intelligent adaptive systems for personalized learning; 2) immersive simulation technologies and virtual patients (e.g., Body Interact); 3) automated knowledge assessment and real-time feedback; 4) AI assistants to support the development of clinical reasoning. Key implementation barriers were identified: faculty competency gaps, limited evidence base, ethical aspects (data, algorithmic bias), and institutional constraints. The study substantiates the need for a "hybrid model" of medical education in Uzbekistan. Such a model should combine traditional strengths (fundamental science, clinical mentorship) with innovative AI tools to enhance learning personalization, interactivity, and ensure graduates meet future clinical practice demands while preserving the humanistic values of the profession.
