The Constitution enshrines human rights that are divided into personal, political, economic, social, cultural, and environmental categories. Some of these rights belong to the category of natural rights, meaning they are granted to a person by nature and merely guaranteed by the state. One of the most essential among them is the right to life. In the Constitution, this right is recognized among personal rights and freedoms, and its uniqueness lies in the fact that all other rights are based on the existence of the right to life. Therefore, it is regarded as a fundamental and primary human right. This article analyzes the constitutional guarantees for ensuring the right to life, as well as the mechanisms and effectiveness of their implementation.
