This article provides a detailed analysis of the geography, goals, and directions of foreign travels undertaken by prominent representatives of the Jadid movement in late 19th and early 20th century Turkestan – Iskhakkhan Ibrat, Mahmudkhodja Behbudi, and Abdurauf Fitrat. The study reveals that the travels of the Jadids were not mere journeys but conscious activities with specific educational, political, social, and cultural objectives. Based on the analysis of archival materials, historical sources, and scholarly literature, the article reconstructs the travel routes of the Jadids to the Ottoman Empire, Egypt, India, Russia, and European countries. It explores the influence of these travels on the formation of their worldview, the introduction of enlightenment ideas into Turkestan, and the processes of national awakening. The research methodology is based on historical-comparative analysis, a systematic approach, and source study methods. The findings scientifically substantiate that the Jadids' travels created an ideological foundation for the modernization of Turkestan, serving as a crucial impetus for establishing new-method schools, theater, press, and publishing.
