This article provides a comparative analysis of the distinctive features of international commercial arbitration and adjudication mechanisms in resolving construction disputes complicated by a foreign element. The article extensively covers the legal nature of arbitration, its internationally recognized independence and enforceability, as well as the speed, temporary binding nature of adjudication, and its practical application in construction projects. Additionally, the experience of various countries, dispute resolution procedures provided by international arbitration institutions and FIDIC contracts were analyzed, and the advantages and disadvantages of arbitration and adjudication were identified. According to the research findings, it was noted that arbitration is more significant as a final and legally binding mechanism, while adjudication allows for prompt resolution of disputes without halting the construction process. In conclusion, proposals are put forward regarding the mutual integration of these two mechanisms and the prospects for their application in Uzbekistan's practice.
