This scientific article elucidates the procedural and legal characteristics of witness testimony as a means of proof in criminal proceedings. It highlights that witness testimony is composed of the interrelated concepts: person - information - conveyance - documentation. Furthermore, it emphasizes that witnesses must convey all information fully and truthfully, while investigators must thoroughly and comprehensively clarify the information available to witnesses in accordance with the circumstances of the case.
