This article examines the evolution of masculinity in Uzbekistan within the context of traditional gender stereotypes, state gender policy, and economic changes. The author identifies four key elements of "normative" masculinity - avoidance of the "feminine," prohibition on displaying weakness, constant competition, and aggressive behavior - and demonstrates how these conflict with contemporary socio-economic realities. The study analyzes statistical data on employment, life expectancy, and factors influencing the pressure of traditional expectations, which make men susceptible to stress, risky behavior, and deteriorating health. The paper presents new approaches to rethinking the crisis of masculinity: implementing principles of equal partnership in the Gender Strategy 2030, developing programs aimed at promoting positive and healthy masculinity, and establishing specialized psychological support services for men. According to the author, achieving sustainable gender equality is only possible through the active involvement of men as allies, the reconsideration of traditional stereotypes, and support for models of male identity not bound by rigid frameworks. To this end, a comprehensive set of measures is proposed, including research, educational, and medical-preventive initiatives aimed at reducing socio-psychological pressure on men and fostering healthy forms of masculinity.
