The article analyzes the legal and economic aspects of the new Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Privatization of State Property," adopted on September 5, 2023. The theoretical foundations of privatization, global experience, and its significance for the national economy have been examined. The main principles of the new law - legality, openness, transparency, accountability, and ensuring a level playing field for competition - are discussed. The article explores the potential of electronic trading systems, independent valuation mechanisms, and the application of international practices. The economic efficiency of the law and its role in increasing production productivity and enhancing investment attractiveness are evaluated. Additionally, the article highlights certain shortcomings, such as provisions for small and medium-sized businesses, protection of employees' rights, and environmental requirements.
