This research is dedicated to the prospects of improving the inspection institute in the criminal procedural legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The study substantiates the necessity of introducing new inspection objects into legislation, such as digital data and vehicles. The author proposes conducting all types of inspections during the pre-investigation verification stage, continuously recording investigative actions on video, and conducting inspections without the participation of witnesses. The work presents a deep analysis of the results of a large-scale survey among law enforcement representatives. The proposed changes are aimed at ensuring the admissibility of evidence in criminal proceedings and making legal and fair decisions in cases. Moreover, the study comprehensively covers the issues of improving the methodological foundations of investigative inspection actions in the context of modern technologies. The research serves as an important step towards further improvement of criminal procedural legislation.
