The article analyzes the strategic planning system in the Republic of Uzbekistan. The author examines existing issues, including the absence of unified legal regulation, duplication of strategic documents, and insufficient continuity of sectoral strategies. The article reviews the strategies and concepts adopted in the country and provides a comparative analysis of strategic planning approaches in the United States, Germany, Lithuania, Russia, Kazakhstan, and Belarus. Key principles of effective strategic planning, such as systematicity, forecasting, and realistic goal-setting, are highlighted. The author proposes several recommendations for improving the system, including refining the draft law "On Strategic Planning," eliminating regulatory duplications, and introducing a regional planning mechanism. The article emphasizes the importance of legal clarity in strategic planning for the sustainable socio-economic development of the country.
