This scientific article examines the concept of operational investigative measures used in solving crimes in the customs sphere, the scientific approaches of scientists to the definition of the concept of operational investigative measures, the concept of operational investigative methodology and its characteristics. The types of operational investigative measures used in solving crimes in the customs sphere and their description, existing problems and scientifically based proposals and recommendations for their solution are covered.
