This article examines how the Great Patriotic War (1941–1945) was portrayed in the periodical press of the Khorazm region. It focuses on the key themes presented in local newspapers, including patriotism, support for the front, psychological and moral encouragement of the population, and the labor front. Particular attention is given to the role of regional media in shaping public opinion and disseminating state propaganda, to maintain morale, reinforce national solidarity, and promote unity. The article also analyzes the local press’s contribution to mobilizing resources for the front, informing the public about the front’s progress and the home front’s circumstances, and uplifting citizens’ spirits during wartime.
