This article explores the history of the Navruz holiday as presented in the work of Abu Raykhan Beruni, “Monuments of Past Generations.” In this significant historical and ethnographic work, Beruni examines the origins and evolution of Navruz, shedding light on its astronomical, cultural, and social dimensions. The article analyzes how Beruni, through his scholarly approach, discusses Navruz not only as a celebration marking the new year but also as a deeply rooted ritual interwoven with the ancient beliefs, customs, and practices of various peoples.
