This article examines the norms of international legal instruments governing the relationship between the state and religion that the Republic of Uzbekistan has acceded to since gaining independence. It elucidates their content and essence, outlines the organizational measures undertaken to incorporate these international norms into national legislation, and assesses the outcomes of these efforts. Additionally, the article provides suggestions and recommendations for future work on this topic.
