This article analyzes the importance of developing critical thinking in medical students and the ways in which they improve their ability to evaluate and analyze critically the information necessary and promote informed clinical decision-making and innovation in medical practice, and its positive aspects. The importance of the PBL and Socratic method, problematic squatting and interactive squatting methods in the development of critical thinking is covered.
