The article examines the role and psychological characteristics of reflective abilities in the professional development of prospectivepreschool educators, drawing on the scholarly perspectives of Uzbek researchers. It explores the relationship between reflection, self-awareness, thinking, motivational self-regulation, emotional stability, social adaptation, and professional competence. The researchapproaches of R.I. Sunnatova, A.A. Fayzullayev, N.S. Safaev, Z.T. Nishonova, and other scholars are reviewed. Studies by F.F. Ganjievand G.P. Ermatova related to professional competence, social intelligence, and interpersonal relationships are also considered. Thecognitive, emotional, motivational, and regulatory components of reflective abilities are characterized.
