The article examines the psychological and pedagogical foundations of an integrated approach to developing emotional andvolitional qualities in preschool children. Emotional awareness and expression, emotion regulation, voluntary behaviour,persistence, patience, goal-directedness, and self-control are considered interrelated aspects of child development. Researchevidence indicates that emotion regulation is closely connected with executive functions, language development, and children'ssocial interactions. In this article, an integrated approach is understood not as a mechanical combination of separate educationaltechniques but as a systematic organization of developmental conditions involving children's psychological characteristics, play,the educational environment, cooperation with families, and individual developmental trajectories. Particular attention is given topretend and role play, emotional dialogue, problem-solving situations, storytelling, pedagogical support, and adults' modelling ofconstructive emotional regulation. The article argues that sustainable emotional and volitional development requires thecoordination of psychological and pedagogical influences rather than isolated training of individual skills. Practical implicationsfor preschool education are proposed.
