Content and practical mechanisms for developing critical 223 thinking competence based on the state educational program "First step"

Annotatsiya

Abstract. This article provides a scientific and pedagogical analysis of the inclusion of critical thinking competence as a distinct key competence in the third edition of the Ilk Qadam State Curriculum. The study examines the theoretical foundations, content structure, and pedagogical conditions for developing critical thinking competence in preschool children. It highlights the potential of problem-based situations, dialogic learning, reflective activities, and game-based technologies in fostering critical thinking skills. In addition, international experiences are comparatively analyzed, and approaches for their integration into national preschool education practices are substantiated. The findings contribute to improving the competency-based approach in preschool education, enhancing children's cognitive engagement, and strengthening their readiness for subsequent stages of learning.
