Annotatsiya

This article analyzes the pedagogical and methodological foundations for developing intercultural communicative competence in future German language teachers. In modern foreign language education, alongside communicative competence, readiness for effective, appropriate, and respectful communication with representatives of different cultures is gaining significant importance. From this point of view, the professional training of a future German language teacher implies not only mastering the phonetic, lexical, and grammatical systems of the German language, but also understanding the cultural values, social norms, communicative behavior, and worldview of German-speaking peoples. The article highlights the content and structural components of intercultural communicative competence, the possibilities of competence-based and communicative approaches in its formation, as well as the criteria and indicators for assessing this competence in future German teachers. The study analyzes the concepts of intercultural competence by M. Byram and D. Deardorff as a theoretical framework.
