The article examines housing construction and the development of social infrastructure in Uzbekistan's workers' settlements between 1946 and 1991. Based on materials from the National Archive of Uzbekistan and specialized periodicals, the construction of the settlement at the Uchkurgan Oil Extraction Plant, as well as settlements at hydroelectric complexes and hydroelectric power plants (Nurek, Shahrixon, Chorvoq, Farhad, etc.), is analyzed. It was shown that the settlements were formed as self-sufficient complexes with housing, medical, preschool, and cultural institutions, as well as engineering improvements.
