This article analyzes the use of artificial intelligence in criminal proceedings, with particular attention to its opportunities, associated risks, and role in the assessment and use of digital evidence. It also examines state policy concerning the digitalization of public authorities and institutions. In addition, the article reviews the perspectives of national and international scholars on the digitalization of records management and its implications for criminal proceedings.
