This article analyzes the concept of corruption, its historical origins, legal nature, and theoretical foundations. It examines the impact of corruption on public administration, society, and economic relations, as well as the social, economic, political, and legal factors contributing to its emergence and persistence. The article also explores the characteristics of corruption as a legal offense, the legal mechanisms for combating it, and the principal theoretical approaches to explaining this phenomenon. The study substantiates the importance of preventing corruption, addressing its causes and underlying conditions, and strengthening legal culture as essential components of an effective anti-corruption framework.
