This article examines the essence, structure, and significance of family-law competence in professional development. Family-law competence is understood as an individual’s ability to correctly interpret family relations from a legal perspective, understand the rights and obligations of family members, make responsible decisions on family-law matters, and apply relevant legal knowledge in practice. The study substantiates that family-law competence comprises four interrelated components: legal-cognitive, value-motivational, practical-activity, and reflective.
