This article analyzes the theoretical and legal foundations for the establishment and functioning of collegial bodies within Uzbekistan’s prosecution service, their institutional role in its organizational structure, and prospects for their further development. It examines the legal nature and powers of collegial bodies, their decision-making mechanisms, and their relationship with the powers of heads of prosecutorial bodies under the principle of individual leadership. The article also analyzes the organizational and legal features of the German prosecution service, with particular attention to the compatibility between collegial deliberation and individual leadership, and assesses their theoretical and practical relevance to Uzbekistan’s prosecution service. The study concludes by presenting scholarly findings aimed at clarifying the legal status of collegial bodies, refining the scope of their powers, and strengthening the institutional foundations of their functioning.
