This article examines the legal status of internal affairs bodies based on an analysis of the substance and significance of the methodological, organizational, and legal foundations underlying the reforms being implemented within the internal affairs system. The study also presents theoretical and practical conclusions, proposals, and recommendations aimed at further improving the legal and organizational framework governing the activities of internal affairs bodies.
