The Uzbek people possess a rich musical heritage characterized by a wide variety of genres. It includes diverse musical examples imbued with national values and regional characteristics, forming traditional folklore and classical works. It should be noted that in such ancient centers of science in Central Asia as Bukhara, Khorezm, and the Fergana Valley, classical musical traditions have found their rightful place. Each piece created in folk art has its own character and distinctive features. These works continue to spread and develop within the living process of musical creativity and performance. In particular, when examining the genre of “Tanavor”, it is important first to determine its historical development and stages of formation. In the field of musical art, there is hardly any genre or interpretation in which “Tanavor” has not been performed. Therefore, in all directions and styles of musical creativity and performance, various examples of “Tanavor” can be found, each reflecting its unique expression. This article explores the history of formation, performance characteristics, and the role in compositional creativity of one of the most beloved national musical examples of our people — “Tanavor”, specifically its primary form known as “Qora Sochim”.
