This article analyzes the formation of the gender equality phenomenon and the features of its global dissemination. It examines the stages of the introduction of the concept of “gender equality” into the socio-cultural space of Uzbekistan and reveals its spiritual and social functions. Particular attention is paid to the representation of gender equality issues in Uzbek theatrical art, focusing on artistic, ideological, and expressive means of stage interpretation. The study explores the evolution of the young female character through a historical excursus, identifying socio-political factors, ideological trends, and transformations of artistic forms across different periods. It also evaluates the need for creating a modern female character in the period of independence and the contribution of creative explorations to the development of Uzbek theater practice. Based on the analysis of the performances “Quyoshni sen uyg‘otasan”, “Oydin”, “Bog‘”, “O‘zbekcha raqs”, and “Jamila”, the article examines the principles of representing young female characters, artistic expression methods, and genre transformations in contemporary Uzbek theater.
