This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the role and significance of French terminology in choreography. It explores the historical development of ballet terminology, its origin within the French cultural context, and its establishment as a universal language of dance. The study focuses on the semantic, functional, and cultural characteristics of French terms, emphasizing their precision, stability, and global applicability. Special attention is given to their role in professional communication and choreography education. The article also highlights how these terms contribute to the development of communicative competence and technical skills among students. Furthermore, French terminology is considered not only as a linguistic phenomenon but also as a cultural system that reflects the historical evolution of dance. The terminological system in choreographic art performs not only a technical but also an aesthetic function, as confirmed from both linguistic and art-historical perspectives. The distinctive phonetic and lexical features of the French language lend these terms elegance and musicality. This, in turn, enhances the overall aesthetic impact of dance art. Moreover, through French terminology, it is possible to trace the historical development of choreographic art.
