The aim of the study was to investigate the clinical and immunological features of chronic suppurative otitis media (CSOM) and to evaluate the effectiveness of photodynamic therapy (PDT) in complex treatment. The study included 114 patients with CSOM and 40 healthy individuals in the control group. It was found that patients with CSOM have significant disturbances of humoral and cellular immunity. The use of PDT (“Methylene blue” and “Chlorophyllipt”) made it possible to achieve higher clinical and microbiological effectiveness, as well as prolong the remission period.
