The presence of persons in conditions of irrational use of sound amplifying equipment and musical instruments during .arious events and the use of portable audio devices in recent .ears have become an important option for the development of scute sensorineural hearing loss (SNHL). The results of the si amination of 19 patients aged 18 to 45 years with acute SNHL (main group) are presented. The cause of acute sensorineural hearing loss of these patients was the irrational jse of sound-amplifying equipment and musical instruments z.nng various events. All patients have gone through a ro'-prehensive clinical and audiological examination. The seudy of the auditory analyzer included: the study of zcnplaints, history of disease and life, acumetry, pure tone audiometry, SISI-test, tympanometry, registration of of transient evoked otoacoustic emissions - TEOAEs. In 73.7% of patients there was bilateral and 26.3% unilateral hearing impairment. Among the patients of the main group, the third and fourth degree of hearing impairment predominated. In 78.9% of patients the result of SISI-test in the side of the lesion was positive, indicating the defeat of the cochlea receptors. TEOAEs were not registered in 89.5% of cases. Registration ofTEOAEswas noted only in 10.5%.
