There are examined and analyzed various modern materials for the restoration of bone defects, theirs properties and composition in this article. An analysis was made of the advantages and disadvantages of the existing bonesubstituting materials. Particular attention is paid to the ability, bone-substituting materials, to restore bone defects and maintain the original volume
