Annotatsiya

Drawing on primary sources, this article analyzes the influence of Soviet ideology on Uzbekistan’s cultural and spiritual life from the 1920s to the 1980s, focusing on transformations in national values, religion, and education. It also examines the development of Uzbek cinema and film production design during this historical period. Particular attention is paid to the role of the Tashkent International Film Festival in promoting cultural and diplomatic relations with Asian and African countries and to the international recognition of Uzbek feature films.
