In this article, the author, based on the current archive of the National Olympic committee of Uzbekistan, reveals the question of the history of the origin of the Olympic movement in our republic. The distinctive side of this work is that for the first time a historical assessment of the Olympic games is given. In addition, the development of the Olympic movement provides an opportunity to strengthen international relations, establish comprehensive cooperation with reputable sports organizations and leading sports powers. In Uzbekistan, great attention is paid to the development of sports and physical culture. Over the yearsof independence, an effective system of training professional athletes has been created in the country, coaches and referees. The implementation of these goals contributes in every possible way to the wide promotionof a healthy lifestyle, the education of comprehensively developed youth, and the further development of physical culture andsports in the republic.The Law of the Republic serves as an important legal basis for the reforms carried out in this direction Uzbekistan "On Physical Culture and Sports" and other normative legal acts aimed atattracting citizens, especially youth, women and children, to physical culture and sports.
